This is a cheap alternative for fencing in your off-grid property or homestead.
Building A Bushcraft Off Grid Fence Entirely Out Of Trees !
Today we begin the framing of our Off-Grid Bushcraft Wooden Fence using trees harvested from our property! We will be adding more final touches in the third video so be sure to follow!
OFF GRID FENCE (Part 3): https://youtu.be/2ESmcPZG0J0
OUR QUEST TO LIVING OFF THE GRID:
This is our quest to freedom and living off-the-grid, living debt free and mortgage free. Starting over from scratch and downsizing on our recently acquired unrestricted land with a cabin in Southern Virginia.
We are Mo and Pink, an American couple in our 50’s on a path to self reliance and living off the grid, who are currently in the process of restoring an old tiny cabin in the Appalachian Mountains of South Western Virginia.
Our primary goal in our life adventure is to live the «off-the-grid» lifestyle, and we’re moving closer towards that goal every day. We have over four acres of unrestricted land that we will be turning into our off grid homestead, soon we’ll be getting chickens, rabbits, and hopefully some other large farm animals as well.
As soon as we can afford it, we will be installing a solar system to power the cabin as well, self installed of course.
Follow our adventures as we are building our Virginia homestead one day at the time. Please like, subscribe and share with family and friends.
Your continued support is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Hate to start off critical, but that much water in your concrete mix will definitely weaken the final product as will piling and tamping dirt on top of the wet, wet concrete "soup". You might as well just put dirt against the posts. Also, the small area dug out around the posts for the concrete was way too small to serve any purpose at all.
Should run one down the middle but run. Them over the post / more strengtht and less cutting nailing easier !
Essas folhas sao boas para fazer estrumo para fortalecer as árvores e as verduras
Boa noite tem que colocar mais areia no cimento porque assim fica muito rala a massa
It looks better than fine
I just found your page, you are both hard workers , a great team . I’m all about the rustic look as well. I do like the idea of the pattern in the middle. I’ll be watching your progress
Looks great!
Problem with high end will be too tall for fence fabric if you are fencing for animal!
Cross brace!
looks like getto heaven there
If you put dry aggregate and cement in to a post hole with post kept level upright tamp it down then cover with soil in 4 hours your find your concrete has set,,, enough water in ground that will soon turn cement solid, this work best with bagged concrete as is premixed, i know this works as still use this way with 8ft concrete posts and panels fencing, A
cross would be nice
Great job, guys!
What's with the porch? Doing a great job so far except for the concrete around the post which was a waste of material. Like you, on a limited budget and health reasons for me. Taking time to achieve our goals as well, keep the hard work up.
Need some cement with your water?
LOVE FENCE AND WITH THE WIRE ADDED. I WOULD CUT THOSE BUSHES DOWN OR TRIM BRANCHES OFF FROM THE BOTTOM AND SHAPE THEM.
Good day to you guys, just come across your channel and loved watching you two working together making your property beautiful, so i had to subscribe straight away looking forward to seeing your progress from now on and im going to spend the next couple of days watching all your older videos to seeing what you have done already. Take care and God bless 🙏 💚👍🇬🇧 Simon from the UK
You should take off the bark because it will cause rot in time.
looks great like seeing all the work you two have done the house looks good and there is so much trees and potential for many projects to do cant wait to see your next video
funny off grid life with government power running to your house.
God Bless you
Looks great! I had an idea of possibly doing smaller cuts of the trees and having them go vertical between the two horizontal ones and they can be spaced out as close or as far apart as you want. Just an idea! (Now you're giving me some ideas!) Keep up the good work!
Do the cross piece in the middle it would look 👀 awesome
Lovely charm!!
You guys are adding alot love to your new home!
Not a straight piece. You are talented enough to fancy up the middle. Can’t wait to see what you do.
