I bought a woodland! Now I can build more Bushcraft shelters, and get some more winter camping trips in. The forest is a mixture of trees with the majority being mature beech and oak with some Hazel and silver birch mixed in. Looking forward to making plenty of Bushcraft/off grid films here for you guys!

A New Chapter! Very excited about this 🌳
Maybe leave the Ash but at the same time, use it as the main load bearing beam in some kind of structure right where is is. And….. a mighty CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 🥳 on the purchase of your own private woodland. 😃🍾🥂
It nice to see how different it is from the traditional seasonal woodlands here in Norway.
Congratulations on your beautiful new acquisition! I look forward to lots of videos made on your woodlands. I look forward to primitive structure building, bushcrafting, and sound woodland management practicing. Enjoy your new found treasure to its fullest while I enjoy you enjoying your very own woodlands.
Congrats!
I would use this ash for woodworking along with the roots — would make a nice table leg.
Mike.
Congratulations with the new land. 🙂👍
If you start off cleaning up the rubbish and making it safe then the rest will follow. if you leave the fallen Ash tree then if any food grows on it you can eat it, it could be a shelter or maybe a dugout canoe.
Maybe it would be a good idea to name some of the areas, I'd suggest 'Fallen Ash' for one place.
Stay safe and well done. 😀👍
How big is this woodland?
How exciting! I'm going to really enjoy watching and learning about wood management along with everything else you do.
Congratulations Michael!!! that follow tree would be a great place to start a new fort…… where you could fence in Jax again….. save those sheep…. lol….
Keep the fallen Ash tree as it is, incorporate into a build, it will eventually become a habitat for animals, also make an owl box to help keep the vermin down, great video and congratulations on your woodland exspanse 😃
Very cool. Look forward to many adventures and animal sightings.
Great to see the joy on your face, and the enthusiasm in your voice is infective. Absolutely brilliant.
Hello Lads?….. Really?
Congrats Mike, stunning location, enjoy it 🙂
One idea for the fallen tree is to use the wood for a cabin or permanent shelter right there it fall. That way you use it, but it remains in place.
If the ash is taking up space for building and content, chop it. Otherwise it gives an amazing mysterious kind of atmosphere.
Revel in it! Your heart for it is obvious!
So happy for you, your own woodland!
Your love of the woods comes through all your videos, this is a great day and we all look forward to your new adventures.
Don't chop up that big downed tree, it adds a bit of woodlands natural charm.
Cheers my YouTube friend
Can't wait for new woodland content! I'm from Rhode island in the USA!
I would leave the fallen ash tree. It adds tons of character to the area.
Build a shelter around ash tree
You lucky you!!
You should move at least the pallet wood cabin to this place. What a dream come true 👍/Henrik
I would use the wood of that ash tree although it would make a great natural shelter. Much more valuable source for wood though.
Your videos are my latibule, meaning a place of comfort away from the world. I'm so happy for you and am excited to see what projects develop in YOUR woodland. 😍😍😍
Congratulations Mike, i!m really happy for you 🙂 hope your dream will get better and better, cant wait for the new woodland videos 🙂
how large is thath woodland by square footage
Me happy about my 6ft inflatable father Christmas decoration… then I see this 🤣🤣
Maybe build an actual log cabin so the wife and daughter can come along on adventures…or maybe not 🤣😀😉😉😉
Congratulations. Well done
Congratulations so happy for you 💗
You can get really good money from the ash log its not rotted to badly for veneer
Congratulations. Must be an incredible feeling. Me and my best pal are looking to do this in a few years!
Im jealous 🙂
Hi Mike, don't worry about the big Ash tree you have enough to do, do your fencing and definitely get coppicing while dormant ready for spring and think about the Ash, I think it makes a great feature for a wild woodland, don't be too tidy though, the bugs need somewhere to live to be food for small mammals which are then food for the owls and buzzards, if you want to see more of the larger wildlife think small, best of luck with your new project 👍👍👍☕
